For the 4th of July, we had a splashy celebration at Grandma Mary's and then we made our way to the city of Richardson's fireworks show. We had a great parking spot, so we didn't have to get there super early. We also didn't have to join the massive crowds that took shuttles. Yeesh! Here are some highlights! Left: Here's Uncle Jason sporting the three glow-in-the-dark necklaces that he bought for the kids. (Yeah, right.)Below: Andrew, Macy, and Jack on the blanket anxiously awaiting the fireworks show... and chowing down on some chips.
Andrew told everyone "happy father's day" to celebrate, but when the fireworks started, he was a little less enthusiastic. As long as I was holding him at a "safe" distance, he enjoyed the fireworks.
We finished the evening with snow cones, and headed home to bed at midnight!
